The We Rave You World Cup

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Russia this summer, We Rave You have assembled our very own ‘World Cup 2018’ tournament, creating an all-star list of nations, packed with production talent. Only one can emerge victorious over the course of the coming month, who do YOU want to win?

So without further hesitation, let’s meet our DJ teams for the tournament:

Australia: Dirty South, Flume, Nervo
A diverse squad made up of pioneering talent and legendary producers, the Socceroos are led from the front by the striking talents of their ferocious twins, Liv & Mim, who told pundits that the tournament feels ‘Like Home’ to them.

Belgium: Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Lost Frequencies, The Magician
Flanked by one of the strongest duo’s in the tournament, former DJ Mag Top 100 winners Dimi & Mike add strength to a defence boosted by a fast rising talent, and an unpredictable attacker.

England: Above & Beyond, Carl Cox, Duke Dumont
Playing a 3-3-1 formation, the Three Lions of Above & Beyond are supported by the powerful presence of Blase Boys Club top scorer Duke Dumont, and their iconic captain, Carl Cox, who plied his trade in Spain for many year at Space FC. Oh yes oh yes!

France: David Guetta, Daft Punk, DJ Snake
“Triple D” as they are being labelled by some sections of the media, will look to continue their impressive recent form going into the tournament, led by an exciting newcomer, and two legendary dance acts.

Germany: Claptone, Paul van Dyk, Robin Schulz
They say you should under-estimate the Germans at your peril when it comes to major tournaments, and with trance legend PvD spearheading the attack, ‘Die Mannschaft’ could be the dark horse of this competition.

Netherlands: Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Tiesto
The pre-tournament favourites, the Dutch have a rich and long history when it comes to sitting at the summit of dance music. In the trusty hands of Armin, Robbert, and Tijs, they’ll be hard to beat this time around!

Sweden: Alesso, Eric Prydz, Steve Angello
Continuing their long-standing rivalry with their Dutch counterparts, the Swedes look to utilise the progressive talents of three of the world’s most in-form producers as they aim to take the We Rave You trophy back to Stockholm.

USA: The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Skrillex
Utilising filthy basslines, the Americans will fancy their chances against most nations in this World Cup, flanked by their in-demand bucket-headed striker, who is attracting the attentions of radio stations worldwide in the transfer market.
