Home Uncategorized Armin van Buuren debuts two new IDs in Tomorrowland weekend one set

Known as one of if not the top trance artists in the globe, Armin Van Buuren certainly knows how to put on a show and where better than Tomorrowland for the living legend to truly strut his stuff? That’s right, Armin Van Buuren unsurprisingly delivered one of the sets of the weekend with his entrancing and simply jaw-dropping set. The man who’s been doing this for sometime now, (roughly 22 years as a DJ/Producer) brought fans and spectators alike to their feet with his amazing set list and even some new tunes.

Setting things off with an edit of his newest release with protégé Shapov, ‘Our Origin‘, Armin kicked things off with energy from the get. The tune which functions as a follow up to the duo’s previous, ‘The Last Dancer’ sports that familiar feeling to when Armin brought Shapov on stage to debut the tune at Ultra Music Festival. However as the set unfolded, the dutch superstar unveiled his new ID with fellow collaborators Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike & W&W. Just like Armin, DVLM also played the tune out with wonderful reception. Not only did the ASOT man light up the stage with his originals, but he continued to show his true skill on the decks with enticing mashups.

Although he included a track list with the video of his performance, 1001tracklists did some deciphering on just who those ID’s were from. The first as mentioned above, was relatively simple due to the stardom of the collaborators, however the second according to 1001tracklists belongs to NWYR (pronounced “new year”) aka W&W’s trance alias. While much still has yet to be determined about the direction W&W plan to go with NWYR releases, Armin certainly seems to have some influence on the producers whether it’s just sharing new music back and forth or giving the once trance producers some refreshers. Either way, it would be exciting to see an Armin & NWYR project come to fruition.

In the meantime, take a look at Armin’s Tomorrowland weekend one performance below:
