During Sebastian Ingrosso’s fiery set on the Freedom Stage, his Swedish brethren Axwell hopped on stage during the build up of “Dancing Alone” to deliver some truly crazy news. Long story short, it would appear that both Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso will be taking a hiatus from Tomorrowland in the future. The only reasonable explanation? As the 2019 SHM world tour news are now becoming more and more concrete, than that could be one of the only reasons why.

Sebastian’s set on the Freedom Stage was quite something, between the nonstop energy and slew of fresh new music paired with the seasoned sounds of the old, his set was already killer to begin with. Around the 45 minute mark Ax took to the mic to filter down the track and say “this is the last time we see Tomorrowland for a while”. He followed with “We’ve had so much fun with you guys, over two weekends, main stage, Axtone arena, here this and that”. Concluding it with “thank you so much for all the love”. The sentiments were felt loud and clear all throughout, the Axwell & Ingrosso chapter might be seeing its last few months until 2019 rolls around. Currently, both DJ’s have had a hefty weekend both playing the main stage and their respective solo sets at the Axtone stage and the Freedom Arena. Their summer tour is one its last few stretches which include destinations all around the globe.

There is certainly much to be said about the state of Axwell & Ingrosso and what the future holds. If this will be their last time of the world renowned festival for a long time, in what scenario we will we see them next?

Tune into to his set below, 45:55 – “This is the last time”
