BREAKING: Swedish House Mafia posters appear in London
When a series of Swedish House Mafia posters appeared in Miami just 24 hours before the trio’s reunion at Ultra Music Festival, fans knew that their dream was finally coming true. The images, made up of a series of global brands, like Nike and McDonalds, in 3-pronged formation, were a clever marketing teaser of what was to follow, and tonight, new posters have emerged – this time in London.
Situated in Brick Lane, just a convenient 10 minute walking distance from the offices of ATM Artists – the management company led by Amy Thomson, manager of the Swedish House Mafia, the posters display the Adidas logo in the same style of the Miami posters, with an address written on them, which states: ‘15 Hanbury Street’ – The address of the Adidas store there, situated in London’s East End.
With the posters potentially hinting at an Adidas inspired merchandise drop, similar to the SHM x Nike sneakers teased by Sebatian Ingrosso in March, the posters are also likely to indicate that London would be a chosen destination for the upcoming Swedish House Mafia World Tour in 2019. The move would make sense, given the trio’s extreme popularity in the UK, where they last played in 2012, with their biggest ever show to date, at the Milton Keynes Bowl.
