The past weekend marked the 18th edition of the legendary EXIT Festival in Serbia, bringing an absolute array of world-famous artists from a wide range of genres to over 200,000 fans.  One of the most memorable sets of the festival was no doubt the closing party on Sunday, July 15, conducted by the French dance Goliath – David Guetta, who amazed the crowd by combining a countless number of unreleased tracks as well as his well-known hits. He opened with a massive intro edit of his collaboration with Martin Garrix and Brooks ‘Like I Do.’ He then played two rumored collaborations with GLOWINTHEDARK, following up on the success of their previous collaborations ‘Ain’t A Party’ and ‘Clap Your Hands’.

David Guetta played a huge number of new music throughout the set, including his rumored collaboration with Nicky Romero which we have been hearing recently in sets by both artists. He also played what is rumoured to be an Afrojack ID.

In the central part of the set, Guetta decided to do something different and take a more underground approach:

“I remember the first time I came to play, our music was still underground and we never thought it was gonna become so big. Sometimes, I miss it. So if you’re ready, I’d like to take you on a journey. Turn off the lights, Turn off the lights. Blackout! I want to take you onto a journey of sounds and beats.”

He went on to play ‘Voices From The Dawn’ by Adriatique, a banging techno tune, followed by an ID rumored to be his, suggesting David Guetta is attempting to bring back some of the underground tech and techno sounds.

You can relive the first hour of this amazing set on Mixcloud below. Also be sure to follow David Guetta on his socials to stay up to date with all these amazing releases he has lined up for us.
