David Guetta’s ‘Sexy Chick’ turns 9 years old

Back in 2009, French superstar David Guetta was busy bringing dance music into the mainstream, releasing a string of huge commercial bangers, such as ‘When Love Takes Over’ with Kelly Rowland, and producing the Black Eyes Peas whopper ‘I Gotta Feeling.’

But perhaps Guetta’s biggest hit of 2009 was Akon collaboration ‘Sexy B**tch’ which was later given a radio release under the more family friendly ‘Sexy Chick’ title. With the official video for the production shot in Ibiza, the track showcased the hedonistic vibes of a wild summer pool party, with Guetta going on to become one of the first true crossover DJs in world music.

Taken from David’s amazing ‘One Love’ album, the production also featured huge euphoric records like ‘How Soon Is Now’ with Sebastian Ingrosso and Dirty South. A true 2009 smasher, ‘Sexy Chick’ has now turned 9 years old, with Guetta still smashing things at the top of the industry almost a whole decade later! You can relive the summer anthem below:
