Canadian producer deadmau5 hasn’t released loads of new music this year, but this morning he announced the arrival of a brand new eight-track EP. The collaborative EP will be titled ‘Mau5ville: Level 1’ and is scheduled for release on Friday, the 13th of July. More than half of the EP consists of different versions of the mau5’s brand new collaboration with none other than Rob Swire. Nearly a decade after their extremely successful collab ‘Ghosts ‘n Stuff’, the two good friends teamed up again for a new track, which is titled ‘Monophobia’.

The new combined effort of Knife Party‘s frontman Swire and the Mau5trap boss himself has already been teased on several occasions by deadmau5, both in the studio and during live performances. ‘Mau5ville: Level 1’ includes the original version of ‘Monophobia’, an extended version, and three remixes of the track by Rinzen, Latroit and ATTLAS. Besides the new and highly anticipated collaboration of Swire and deadmau5, the EP also includes tracks by GTA and Getter. The only solo venture by the Mau5trap label boss is a track titled ‘Nyquist’, which is also the shortest song on the entire EP, lasting only 3:18 minutes.

Fans will be extremely excited with the news of brand new music by the Canadian, especially because he’s been more occupied with an upcoming film score and the development of his own LAN gaming center. Even though deadmau5 didn’t state July 13th as the official release date for ‘Mau5ville: Level 1’, iTunes already lists it as the expected release date for pre-ordering the EP.
