Almost 20 years after their first performance at Ibiza’s legendary club Pacha, American electro duo Deep Dish have announced a reunion show on the Spanish island. The iconic duo, made up of Dubfire and Sharam, parted ways in 2006, both successfully pursuing solo careers in the music industry. On Friday, July 13 the duo will reunite for an exclusive performance at Hot Since 82’s Labyrinth night at club Pacha. The performance takes them back to the place where it all started for them back in the mid-nineties.
Deep Dish played only a handful of shows together since they split up over a decade ago, so the unexpected reunion show on the white isle will come as a big surprise to (former) Deep Dish fans. Dubfire and Sharam shortly regrouped for a while in 2014, releasing one new single titled ‘Quincy‘, but the duo’s monster hits ‘Flashdance’, ‘Say Hello’ and ‘Dreams’ (ft. Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks) undoubtedly come to mind first, whenever their name pops up. At the time, they told fans they would not be reuniting and at this point, it’s not sure whether the performance at Pacha this Friday will be a one-time affair or the beginning of something new.
Dubfire and Sharam released the following statement on their exclusive reunion show at club Pacha this Friday:
“Back in the early 90’s Pacha Ibiza was on every DJs performance wish list. We’d only dream and hope that the opportunity to play this legendary venue would ultimately present itself. Once our music began to connect with international audiences, we were invited over to the island for the very first time. Pippi was the resident at the time and he perfectly set the stage for our signature style. It was a night that we have always cherished and look forward to this special return for our good friend Hot Since 82.”
