Dropping a whopping 6 IDs at Tomorrowland means that Don Diablo‘s phenomenal main stage set is a must see. Besides his incredible selection of his personal tracks, releases from his own label Hexagon, and some fresh mashups, the new additions make for plenty of mystery and stipulation about some of the set content. Though some are all but confirmed, there were some tracks never or rarely heard before. Bringing house bangers to the main stage, here’s a round up of Don Diablo’s set.
The Dutch DJ and producer is at the ripe age of 38, but still gives it his all on stage every set. His energy and clear enjoyment during the set reflects onto his crowd, and the Tomorrowland faithful showed their love for Don’s 60-minutes. Opening up with his recent track ‘Anthem‘, the set was mostly different to last week’s set on the Musical Freedom stage. Opting to play more of a Don Diablo set that last week – which involved a number of his personal tracks but had a ton of other producers music – this performance brought out tracks from over the years, with the likes of ‘Starlight‘ and ‘Chemicals‘ making the cut, alongside newer productions. Showcasing his skills through some clever mashups and ‘ReHex’s’, Don showed his ability to provide for the crowd, incorporating tracks like George Michael‘s ‘Careless Whisper‘, Oasis‘ ‘Wonderwall‘, and even some Phil Collins. All in all, the set was spectacular, and Don delivered as you would expect. Following on from last years top quality set, the Dutchman had a lot to do to surpass the standard set, but has done everything to ensure that each year gets better and better, with 2018’s edition being one of his best.
