The biggest dance music festival in the world, Tomorrowland, played host to another amazing Weekend One this year, with acts like Alison Wonderland performing on the main stage.

However, Dua Lipa, who was also in attendance as a performer over the course of the weekend appeared to not know that female artists had ever played the event before, disrespecting her gender with a post on her official Twitter page where Dua claimed she was the “first ever international female artist” to play at Tomorrowland.

With many dance music fans questioning the inclusion of Martin Garrix’s former vocalist on the line-up in the first place, believing that dance music festivals are for dance music artists, Dua’s lie will have done nothing to persuade Tomorrowland fans that she deserved her spot at the Belgian event.

As well as seeming to know nothing about the festival’s history, completely disregarding female acts who have played there over the years such as NERVO, and Nora En Pure, the post did not go down well with Australian DJ Alison Wonderland who played on Tomorrowland’s main stage a few hours before Dua was performing on one of the event’s smaller stages.
