3 years have flown by since the release of ‘Break Through The Silence‘, but it doesn’t feel like a second has passed. Matisse & Sadko have developed to be a massive force in the progressive house scene, with consistent releases, a number of which have come with Martin Garrix. Garrix’s label STMPD Records has played host to a few collaborations between the three heavyweights, including the greatly successful ‘Forever‘. The young Dutchman Garrix has himself had unrivalled success, and took his STMPD Records stage to Tomorrowland at the weekend. Forming STMPD Records was sparked by the parting of Garrix from Spinnin’ Records, where this impeccable track was released, and the stage played host to both Garrix – as himself and alias Ytram – and Matisse & Sadko, who played a blinding set.

With the rebirth of progressive house in recent months, this track is a fitting reminder of the peak period of such a great genre. As future bass, trap, and bass house has made a stand over the last couple of years, progressive has somewhat taken a back step for a number of artists. However, Matisse & Sadko, whilst making other tracks, have always reverted back to ‘prog’, where they made their name, and the likes of ‘Together‘ and ‘Dragon‘ join an impressive list of progressive collaborations with Garrix. ‘Break Through The Silence‘, released as part of the same EP as ‘Dragon‘, has amassed over 11 million views via YouTube to date, and remains an absolute banger, and still features in sets to date.

The progressive vibes continue to flow from both artists, with Garrix playing a new progressive house track ‘High On Life‘ as the finale to his Tomorrowland set on Saturday. Matisse & Sadko also took to Tomorrowland to showcase new music, which can be seen in their set here.
