Steve Aoki announces upcoming BTS remix for collaboration ‘The Truth Untold’

International DJ/producer Steve Aoki has recently announced his upcoming remix for K-Pop group BTS. After successfully collaborating with BTS to create ‘The Truth Untold‘, Aoki stated on Twitter how he is ‘so proud of the success’ of the original version. This has prompted the 40 year old American producer to put his signature spin on the track, and said how he will ‘start working on a remix that I can play in my sets’. The 7-man South Korean group BTS are no stranger to the electronic music scene and Aoki’s renowned presence, whilst group member Suga revealed Aoki’s ‘passion for music was one of his many qualities that I respect’, with fellow member J-Hope saying that their collaboration with Aoki is his favourite track from the album.

The original version of the track doesn’t follow the typical Aoki format, veering away from the electronic vibes you would associate him with. ‘The Truth Untold‘ is a powerful ballad, led by piano chords, soothing strings, and strong vocals. The original track would not slot into an electronic set in its natural format, but has plenty of components that will contribute to an unquestionably huge remix from Aoki. ‘The Truth Untold‘ is not the first time that Aoki has featured on a BTS track, with his remix of the South Korean group’s track ‘MIC Drop‘ alongside Desiigner being their first musical meeting. Though the track has not yet been released, Aoki revealed in his tweet that he would be debuting the track soon, so you can expect to hear something fresh from the veteran producer in the near future.
