Labelled by many as the greatest EDM anthem of all time, the summer of 2010 saw Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello catapult themselves into the big time as Swedish House Mafia released ‘One’ on this day, exactly 8 years ago.

The July release, which instantly became the most played track worldwide across festival main-stages, showcased the extreme talents of the trio, and became the start of the rolling stone which soon became the SHM juggernaut, dominating the entire music world across the course of the next 3 years. Recognised as the biggest superstars in the dance music scene, Swedish House Mafia later followed up the release with tracks like ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’ and ‘Greyhound’ but for many, ‘One’ still remains their most iconic and timeless track of all time.

A firm fixture in their live sets, the Swedish friends later decided to rope in the vocals of Pharrell Williams for a radio edit which was titled ‘One (Your Name)’, as the anthem dominated the trio’s performances at global venues like Madison Square Garden in New York, and the UK’s MK Bowl; where they debuted ‘Don’t You Worry Child‘ in 2012.

Following their return at Miami‘s Ultra Music Festival in March this year, the future looks highly exciting for Swedish House Mafia, with a planned reunion tour rumoured to be arriving in late 2018/early 2019. Still 8 years on, ‘One’ sounds as gorgeous as ever, and can be heard below!
