Tiësto & Post Malone’s ‘Jackie Chan’ receives surprisingly adventurous music video
Released in early May featuring a upbeat and catchy vibe, Tiësto, Post Malone, Dzeko, and Preme stunned fans everywhere with the unexpected collaboration. What’s even more unexpected than the four major musical forces combining on ‘Jackie Chan‘? The songs official music video. Take an animated Minecraft styled world and blend it together with colorful animated futuristic cityscapes and you have one of the summers catchiest tunes music videos.
Tiësto comments on the video saying,
“‘Jackie Chan’ came together pretty spontaneously. Dzeko and I have been friends with Post for some time. When we met Preme in Las Vegas, he showed us the vocal he and Post had been working on and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to collaborate. I’m really excited to put this out for you all to hear. We’ve definitely created a summer anthem with this one.
The director of the music video, Jay Martin, created an immersive world where a characterized Post Malone and Prime live out their square lives partying and fighting giant monsters all while burning rubber through the fictional city. Meanwhile, a massive statue-esque Tiesto and Dzeko presides over the city, spinning the energetic production for everyone to get down to.
It certainly seems like Post Malone is growing more and more inspired by dance music. The artist who’s continually finding himself featured on plenty of dance inspired pop tunes even made a headlining appearance at this years EDC Las Vegas. For a pop/R&B artist Post Malone certainly received a lot of love in the desert.
