Tiësto rolls back the years with vintage Tomorrowland set
Hosting his own Musical Freedom stage at Tomorrowland, Tiësto invited the likes of Jauz, Brohug, Oliver Heldens, and Don Diablo to play the arena in honour of his iconic label on Friday night. But it was the Dutch trance master’s set which proved the most fitting finale, with the godfather of modern dance music delivering a dynamic 2 hour set to the people of Tomorrowland.
Paying tribute to Swedish maestro Avicii through a number of his hits, such as ‘Hey Brother‘ and ‘Levels’, Tiësto was also joined on stage by Alan Walker, and Jauz, with the latter going b2b with the Dutch legend for a part of the set. Showcasing his sonic diversity with a series of his more current tracks, like booty shaker ‘Boom’, the EDM legend followed the twerking anthem with Mesto‘s ‘Give Me Love‘ before launching into a series of his older hits.
Delivering ‘Make Some Noise‘, Diplo collab ‘C’Mon’, and 2009’s Calvin Harris team-up ‘Century’ to the crowd, Tiësto rolled back the years, before bringing things back to the present day with his latest stomper ‘Jackie Chan.’
