For its sixth edition, Ultra Europe (Ultra Music Festival) returned to the sunny, idyllic, coastal town of Split, Croatia between July 6-8th. The festival has attracted a mind-blowing number of over 150,000 dance music fans, comprising of 148 nationalities from all across the globe. It also featured some of the biggest names in dance music such as Axwell & Ingrosso, Marshmello, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, Alesso, Hardwell and many more.

Ultra Music Festival, held at Poljud Stadium in Split, hosted four stages this year including; Resistance, Arcadia Afterburner, UMF Radio, and of course the Ultra Mainstage.

The Resistance stage, home to techno and the darker, underground sounds of dance music did not only include names such as Paco Osuna, Eats Everything, Marco Carola, Carl Cox, but also showcased some incredible back to back sets by Jamie Jones b2b Joseph Capriati, Craig Richards b2b Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers b2b Loco Dice, and more.

The one of a kind Arcadia Afterburner stage displayed some of the best producers in the electro and trance genres, presenting names such as Julian Jordan, Sick Individuals, Cosmic Gate, Merk & Kremont, Ilan Bluestone, Kura, and others. On Friday, Afrojack fans at the Arcadia stage were blessed with a unique performance by the Dutchman himself, as he took to the stage under his ‘NLW’ alias to deliver a fiery show, far different from his usual main stage delivery.

Over on the UMF radio stage, we were treated with everything from local talents, up and coming performers, to familiar UMF artists such as Jenil, Plastik Funk, Kryoman, Kris Kaiden.

The iconic Ultra main stage offered some incredible moments and performances by the likes of Axwell & Ingrosso, Afrojack, Hardwell, DJ Snake, The Chainsmokers, Eric Prydz, with more. Going on into the early mornings, Eric Prydz, Armin Van Buuren, and Hardwell, each, closed of every festival day in style with memorable moments were the morning sun was rising on the horizon and touching a still party-frenzy stadium while lasers and strobe lights were shooting through the morning sky as the last fireworks exploded over the arena.

With the festival behind us, it is safe to say we that we can look back at a world-class festival, with a top-notch production and a star-studded lineup. Until next year!
