Axwell’s iconic ‘Watch The Sunrise’ turns 12 years old

Few producers in the world can boast more of a legendary status than Axwell. The Swedish DJ, and head of the iconic Axtone label, has nurtured some of the finest talents in the modern EDM scene, including Shapov, and D.O.D, as well as tearing up the world with his various projects, including the Axwell Λ Ingrosso act, and his Steve Angello team-up, ‘Supermode.

Perhaps Axwell’s best-known work comes via the form of juggernaut trio Swedish House Mafia, with the supergroup responsible for massive tracks like ‘Save The World’ and ‘Don’t You Worry Child’. But long before his SHM days, Axwell was garnering a reputation as one of the most exciting progressive acts around, dropping releases like 2006 classic ‘Watch The Sunrise.’ The track, which featured the vocals of Steve Edwards, later received reworks from Chris Lake and Bob Sinclar, as well as a special Axwell remode. But it was the original which cemented a reputation as an all-time classic.

Released in August 2006, you can catch the track below, which turns 12 years old today!
