The end of summer is typically one of the most creative spells for both hip-hop and pop genres, as most artists and top 40 radio stations start to hunker in and reminisce on the hits of summer as the cold weather rolls around. With the ending of August in sight, 4 major hit makers have joined forces on a genre bending moombahton anthem. The tune stems from an artist we’ve heard a lot from this summer and the source of several major collaborations. If you haven’t already heard the tune, ‘Goodbye‘ comes from the mind of French pair Willy William and David Guetta with help from the end of featured vocalists Nicki Minaj, and Jason Derulo.

With Latin music taking over the charts and the spotlight shifting to artists such as JBalvin, Ozuna, Bad Bunny and more, ‘Goodbye‘ is the perfect mix of summery pop energy with the tropical ambiance of an island classic. The four-on-the-floor sound has evolved plenty over the years. Evolving solely within latin and hip-hop music, to making it’s way into dance and now slowly transitioning into the Billboard top 100 and radio stations everywhere it’s expanding experimentation from artists like Drake, French Montana and more that make the four-on-the-floor ambiance such a hit staple.
The songs, simple and easily readable story of two lovers who have to say goodbye, follow an extremely connectable message to the masses. It’s not everyday you see so many hit makers on one track so needless to say, you can surely expect to hear ‘Goodbye‘ on your favorite radio station as the summer begins to transition to fall.
