Ministry of Sound prepares for ‘Feelings’ party

This summer marks 30 years of one of the biggest musical movements the UK has ever seen. A culmination of the sounds and sights being cultivated in the Mediterranean, Chicago, Detroit & New York washed up on the British shores, giving birth to a musical revolution, Acid House. The musical landscape of the country and the world hasn’t been the same ever since.

To mark 30 years since this pivotal era (which also happens to be the 4th birthday of popular club night ‘Feelings’), Ministry of Sound will be throwing an all-night dance party to celebrate the pioneers of Acid House, alongside those that paved the way and those that have kept the fire burning strong three decades later.

For the occasion, ‘Feelings’ will take over the only London club fitting for such a party, spreading across multiple rooms. This club is the only one still standing since the beginning and was instrumental in bringing acid to the masses. Headlining proceedings in The Box will be popular twin duo Deniz Menendez and Eniz Menendez, aka The Menendez Bros, who recently played at Ushuaia Ibiza for ANTS, and celebrate their birthday on the same evening.

You can win a VIP table and free drinks at Feelings Summer of Love on Saturday 11th August by entering here, with special t-shirts for the occasion also available here.

Making the switch over from an established career in sports journalism to the world of dance music in 2016, Jake Gable has cemented a spot as one of the industry's most in-demand names during his tenure to date. Working on highly successful press campaigns for the likes of Tiësto, MK, and many more during his time at one of London's most premiere PR outfits, Gable has also proved his hand as a skilled journalist, interviewing acts such as Oliver Heldens, Martin Solveig, NERVO, and many more at international events like EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Working tirelessly as the CEO & Founder of UK company The EVENT, Gable also doubles up as a tour manager, playlist curator, dance music influencer, and DJ, under his JK-GBL alias. Further adding strings to his bow as a freelance copywriter - where he has worked for numerous iconic artists such as Axwell, and labels, such as Third Party's Release Records - Gable is best known for producing two of the biggest editorials in We Rave You history; The first a breaking news story on Swedish House Mafia's return at Miami's Ultra Music Festival in 2018 (a world exclusive), and the second titled 'Avicii: The Truth...', an inquest into the EDM star's passing, published less than 24 hours after his death.
