Hardwell’s Iconic ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’ Remix Turns 4
Once there was a teenager from the streets of Breda who called himself Hardwell and dreamed of becoming the world’s number one DJ. Years later, he turned out to be one of the world’s biggest superstars. From headlining the largest festivals to releasing awe-inspiring music, the Dutchman has garnered the support of millions of fans across the globe as well as the respect of several other producers in the business. He was then voted as DJ Mag‘s #1 DJ in the world for two consecutive years in 2013 and 2014, which fulfilled his lifelong dream and cemented his status as one of the best behind the decks.
Years later, Hardwell remains one of the most iconic figures in dance music, always pushing boundaries with his mainstage sounds and the releases from his imprint Revealed Records. Today the Dutch DJ and producer can celebrate the fourth birthday of the remix he did for Coldplay’s ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’, an incredibly successful record which rocked festival stages all around the world and remains to this day a timeless track. The remix fuses Chris Martin‘s incredible vocal performance with a powerful progressive melody, creating the ultimate mainstage tool.
Hardwell has had an impressive year so far, releasing countless new songs and remixes as well as growing his label even more. He is also fresh from two memorable sets on the Tomorrowland 2018 mainstage, where his ability to craft outstanding mashups with effortless transitions between tracks was highlighted throughout his one-hour performance. Fusing together the work from top-tier DJs such as W&W, Zedd, Mightfools, Sebastian Ingrosso, and MAKJ resulted in mashups like ‘Live The Night vs Footrocker vs Fall In To the Sky‘ and ‘Trabanca vs Apollo‘, overall proving a winning formula for the DJs performance.
