HLZ PLZ – Blood & Thunder

Saige Rakoski, aka HLZ PLZ (pronounced “heals please”) has returned following his debut single, ‘Wipes On Trash‘. In his newest tune, ‘Blood & Thunder’ the tracks serious bass, electric glides and elongated builds are certainly something to admire, as the work is certainly a smash for his second release. While ‘Blood & Thunder‘ possesses quick eerie vocal samples including bits of menacing laughter and stark gasps, in the larger picture the tune takes on a relatively contrastive stance within the interludes, as it’s airy pad work and ominous synth lines overlay each other. In an effort to further announce his presence outside his music, Rakoski discusses both his genre specific and artist based influences when it comes to his work.

“I started HLZ PLZ to showcase the type of dark, goth influenced house music that I loved but not enough people were doing…I’m trying to exist somewhere in between the warehouse energy of REZZ or Drezo and the vintage textures of acts like Kavinsky and Gesaffelstein.”

Releasing via Artist Intelligence Agency/ Eyes on You, the new producer has an ear for the ominous and right now with plenty of noise surrounding those he emulates such as Rezz and Drezo (as mentioned above), the up and comer certainly has a lane to run in. Taking to Facebook to promote the newly released tune – HLZ PLZ  is certainly coming into his own on.
