Following last week’s news of deadmau5‘s recording deal signing via Kobalt Music, David Guetta has joined the Canadian on Kobalt’s roster. The announcement came on Thursday with the deal covering all publishing administration for Guetta’s work’s that go back over 15 years ago. Signing the French artist in the same period as signing deadmau5 too is a huge move for Kobalt, and further establishes them as one of the music scene’s biggest players.

He’s a rare breed — a global superstar who’s worked with the world’s biggest artists and created hit after hit. David and his business manager, Jean-Charles, have built an amazing collection of great music over the past 15 years and it will continue to live on for years to come. It’s an honour to represent his music as part of the Kobalt family.
David Guetta is undeniably one of the biggest artists of the modern age. At 50 years old, he continues to top the charts and dominate festivals worldwide. His back catalogue is packed with classics, including the likes of ‘Titanium‘, ‘Without You‘, and ‘Sexy Chick‘, plus more recent bangers in ‘2U‘ and ‘Flames‘. In addition, Guetta has churned out two more tracks in the last few weeks, remixing Lenny Kravitz track ‘Low‘, plus a fresh collaboration with vocalist Anne-Marie titled ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone‘. On top of his expert releases, his Ibiza residencies are booming, drawing in thousands of fans each week with some extra special guests also involved. The Frenchman appears to have no peak, and as the years pass he continues to provide the goods in his tracks, sets, and shows.
Kobalt Music have signed one of the best in the industry here, and its truly a great move for them. David Guetta’s addition alongside deadmau5 is top notch, and Kobalt are making some pretty huge moves right now. Who could be next?
