Goodbye David

Lenny Kravitz – Low (David Guetta Remix)

David Guetta is just killing it right now. Smashing festivals like Tomorrowland, destroying his residencies in Ibiza at both Pacha and Ushuaïa, and releasing bangers on a frequent basis shows his huge domination of the current electronic music scene. Following up his recent track with vocalist Anne-Marie, the 50 year old Frenchman is back with a fresh track, remixing the legendary Lenny Kravitz for a disco-infused banger.

The track packs a punch, with some massive house vibes rolling right through from start to finish. Containing the iconic voice of Lenny Kravitz, ‘Low‘ has plenty of energy, and Guetta’s remix does it plenty of justice. With funky chord progressions and vocal chops, the drop is a fitting climax to the impeccable build up that precedes it. Simple percussion and drums all throughout leave the attention on the vocals and other additional elements, such as the house bass line that Guetta has crafted, and bring out the best in the track. This is a perfect collaboration of different ideas and sounds, as Kravitz classic sounds radiate through and Guetta’s modern interpretation makes it ready to roll. Not a main stage banger by any means, but would definitely slot into a set by someone like Throttle or Lost Frequencies, as it takes that soothing deeper house vibe with a summer sound. That very sound comes from piano chords and other additions from the veteran Frenchman, and create a truly remarkable track.
