Marshmello teases new tune featuring Bastille
Following the summertime sequel to his previous album ‘Joytime‘, our fluffy friend Marshmello has simultaneously announced and teased an exhilarating new tune entitled ‘Happier‘. Taking to Instagram to provide a peek, the global sensation officially announced his newest tune featuring ‘Pompeii‘ artist Bastille. Coming off a massive summer of billboard topping hits such as ‘FRIENDS‘ featuring Anne-Marie, ‘Wolves‘ featuring Selena Gomez, and ‘Everyday‘ with Logic, Marshmello has continually proven why he’s Spotify’s #28 most listened to artist.
Arriving August 17th, ‘Happier‘ which has only received a brief 10 – 15 second snippet seems to come off as much more of a ballad than a celebration. However, despite the initially down tempo ambiance, Bastille excitedly took to Twitter, providing a string of tweets and a tad of banter behind the making of the tune and what it’s like “stepping into someone else’s world for a minute…” Let’s hope this release is everything it has the potential to be.
Last year we wrote a song called “Happier” which we thought would be great as a collaboration. We had a lot of fun getting to work on it with Marshmello who managed to find some joy in the melancholy…
