A legend of the modern electronic music era and creator of some of the most iconic productions. Afrojack‘s contribution to electronic music has been endless and truly unrivalled. Though he might not have had the tabloid fame of the likes of Martin Garrix and Tiësto via DJ Mag’s rankings and so forth, he has gained the notability and respect of both fans and colleagues worldwide. The persona of Afrojack has been the forefront of his success, as well as his NLW alter ego, and years on from his introduction to the scene, he continues to provide fresh material blending his incredible sounds with innovative ideas. Proving once again he is one of the most consistent and talented artists in the scene with an incredible set on the Tomorrowland MainStage.
He opened up with an intro edit of his collaboration with DISTO ‘My City‘, which came out recently on his imprint Wall Recordings, generating an incredible amount of energy in the crowd. He was then able to maintain this high energy by quickly mixing in one of his highly anticipated upcoming IDs. Throughout he dropped countless unreleased tunes, including collaborations with the likes of D.O.D, Jewelz & Sparks and Chasner. He also surprised the crowd with some incredible edits which featured some of his classic dirty dutch sounds. It is always nice to see an artist tribute the sound they started out with and made them popular.
Fresh off of his set from this, filled with new exciting music, as well as a tantalizing performance at Ultra Europe earlier this month, the Dutchman is set to bring the fire in what promises to be a spectacular summer season for the Dutch DJ and producer. Be sure to check his tour dates to catch him play live.
