Last weekend, the mighty Alfa Future People festival went down in Russia. The festival’s stunning mainstage is always one of the best and biggest of the festival season. This year it featured multiple LED lighting installations, an amazing 3D depth and a knight-like looking face in the front. The design perfectly integrates into the rich history of stunning mainstages that will take your breath away. However, a great mainstage is only 50% of amazing festivals, the other 50% is measured in the quality of the DJs that are taking the stage. Luckily, Alfa Future People also delivered there: Acts such as Yellow ClawVini Vici, and Steve Aoki played this year. Next, to them, a true dance music icon was also part of the huge line-up: Tiësto.

The 48-year old DJ and producer from The Netherlands showed, once again, that he is still one of the best DJs in the world. He started his set with his energetic big room banger together with DallasK‘Show Me’, just like Tiësto did at his massive mainstage set at Tomorrowland. In general, more than 50% of the songs played by Tiësto were his own productions, which shows his amazingly huge music repertoire. ‘Boom’ together with Gucci Mane was part of the set, just like all-time classics such as ‘Lethal Industry’ and ‘Red Lights’. Of course, Tiësto’s mega-hit ‘Secrets’ with singer VASSY and KSHMR, who also played at Alfa Future People. Towards the end of his set, the Dutch icon went a little bit harder, with Hardwell’s and Timmy Trumpet’s collab ‘The Underground’ as well as with ‘Pop Dat’ by 4B and Aazar.

Just like all the other shows that Tiësto plays every year, he demonstrated again that he is still going strong. Check out a glimpse of his show at Alfa Future People in Russia below!
