Steve Angello delivers powerful speech during show in Malmö
Swedish superstar Steve Angello rocked a show in Malmö, Sweden in front of 28,000 starstruck fans. The show was special for many reasons, however one of the most awe inspiring is the fact Angello played for the largest audience the festival has seen at a staggering 28,000 people. 26,000 was the previous record held two days before Angello took the stage. What also makes the concert exciting is the fact that its the only free show Steve Angello is playing in his 2018 summer tour. The star is working all around the clock the past few months, of all his exploits, one of the most sincere is his charity project “For our Sweden“, which wants to promote positive change in his native country.
The focus of the project will be on children and young people and those who have diabetes. According to Swedish media, Steve Angello will donate all the proceeds from the gig at the Malmö Festival to social initiatives conducted in Malmö. Steve Angello has been in the news all throughout the past few months as he has become a strong advocate of respect, personal responsibility for ones’ own actions, and being a positive role model for younger generations. As a leader, he hopes to touch those both within the house music scene and beyond with the hopes of being a positive influence on and off the stage.
His brief speech he gave during his show in Malmö has been translated by We Rave You below:
A lot is happening in the world, and there is nothing that beats the feeling of standing here tonight.
To stand here tonight because of something we want to invest in and something we want to fight. We will start with racism and social exclusion.
I will focus on youth, and we will make Sweden a better place. One day at a time, one concert at the time, and one voice at a time.
Certainly a speech that come from the heart, Angello hopes to deeply strengthen his fans and many other people through not just the power of his music, but the goodness of his soul. His charity will give those who haven’t been fortunate to seek the help they need a chance.
This is something I highly respect…When you use your reach and platform to improve society and leave the world a better place for future generations.
