Steve Aoki announces ‘Neon Future III’ to contain collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Blink-182

For his forthcoming LP Neon Future III, international superstar DJ and producer Steve Aoki has revealed all. In a recent interview alongside Beats 1’s Anna Lunoe, the American gave an insight into what unexpected collaborations are to come on the LP. With Linkin Park, BTS, Celine Dion, and Snoop Dogg already on the list, there’s not many more artists that could widen Aoki’s range of collaborators. However, the 40 year old from Miami, Florida told Lunoe that Nicki Minaj and Blink-182 are amongst the next artists to feature on an Aoki track, with the release via the upcoming Neon Future III LP.

Coming in as Forbes fourth highest-paid DJ for the previous 12 months, Aoki is fully established as one of the worlds biggest hitters. With releases such as ‘Pursuit Of Happiness (Remix)‘ and ‘Boneless‘ bringing him great success – with the first of those two still ranking in the top 10 most played tracks of Tomorrowland 2018, around 9 years on from its initial release – Aoki has the respect and power within the industry that warrants working with some of the best.

Contacting Nicki Minaj via Twitter, Aoki tells Lunoe of how their collaboration came about:

Twitter is still used in that way. I’ve talked to a lot of rappers. I tried to reach Nicki Minaj, and I was like, ‘I can’t get through.’ I tweeted at her, and then she followed me, and then I DM’d her, like, ‘I’ve been trying to send you this record.’ And she got it, and she’s like, ‘I love this.’

It’s that easy, just message Nicki Minaj on Twitter and get a collaboration. Well, if you’ve got tonnes of bangers like Aoki then it’s that easy. With this massive collaboration, and tracks with Blink-182 and Maluma – the latter is not yet confirmed on Neon Future III – Aoki is set to bring the heat with his new LP. The pizza connoisseur is on a roll at the minute, and looks set to continue when the new tracks get released. Check out some more of the interview below.
