After debuting this track as one of many ID’s at Ultra Miami this year, Dutch EDM godfather Tiësto has finally released his highly anticipated solo single ‘Wow‘. The track has been evidently prominent in his sets, for a number of months now, making its way into his Creamfields, Tomorrowland Alfa Future People sets. ‘Wow’ has also gained early support from the likes of Hardwell, who played the track during a set at Hï Ibiza back in early July.
The track is built around a very strong bassline and a catchy riff, making it the perfect mainstage and club banger. The production quality on this track is truly outstanding as it sounds so full and rich on the drops making it a real pleasure to listen to. The track also features the catchy ‘wow’ vocal sample throughout the track, similar to the one made popular by Crookers in their remix of The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Salmon Dance’.
Tiësto is having yet another spectacular year so far, maintaining his strong touring schedule, releasing amazing music and delivering incredible performances all around the world. A standout moment for him this year was definitely his 2 hour set on the Musical Freedom Stage at Tomorrowland 2018, where he played the likes of ‘Make Some Noise‘, his collaboration with Diplo ‘C’Mon’, and 2009’s Calvin Harris team-up ‘Century’ to the crowd, Tiësto truly rolled back the years, before bringing things back to the present day with his latest stomper ‘Jackie Chan’. The Dutchman’s last release; ‘Jackie Chan‘ with Dzeko, Post Malone and Preme, has amassed a whopping 216+ million Spotify streams, helping it earn the #10 spot on the Shazam world rankings. In addition to this, ‘Jackie Chan’ peaked at #2 on Beatport’s Dance chart and recently received a mesmerising music video.
