Undeniably one of the tunes of the summer is Axwell Λ Ingrosso‘s festival banger ‘Dancing Alone‘, a huge crossover track that blends trance, house, and progressive to create a true masterpiece. Playing around the world and dominating on every occasion, the Swede’s have had a massive summer, and just as you thought things were getting ready to die down, the duo have dropped a 3-track remix EP for their recent hit. With Axwell heavily supporting the Brohug remix already through summer it has become quite popular, so the anticipation for this release has built for a couple of months. Alongside Brohug’s remix is one from Spanish progressive house duo CYA, and the mysterious minds&machines.

With the latter of the three having just 11 Soundcloud followers at the time of writing, you can be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the artist. However, given the quality of the remix, you won’t forget the name in a hurry. The minds&machines spin takes a more analogue sound, with some old school percussive elements, and a hefty amount of effects on the vocal. Unique in its sound, the remix is truly excellent, and provides a nice deeper vibe to the track.

The first track on the EP is Brohug’s mix, which many of the Axwell Λ Ingrosso faithful will recognise from over the summer. Bringing a festival sound through their house-driven take on the track, the Swedish trio – containing John Dahlback – have really delivered on this one. Thumping beats behind a infectious melody provide for a phenomenal festival-ready anthem. The Swede X Swede crossover has worked wonders on this, as Brohug have utilised the original and twisted it into something spectacular.

Finally, one for the progressive fans. CYA have produced yet another progressive masterpiece, combining their modern prog sound with the main hook from the original to create a scintillating track. Plucks, subs, pads, and melodies… this one has euphoric written all over it. The Spanish duo have projected themselves onto the main stages of festivals worldwide, and though they were only releasing their first track early last year, they are fully established as some of the finest progressive producers in the game currently.
