David Guetta – 7

Following a huge year in which he has enjoyed another massive summer in Ibiza, securing two residencies in the shape of ‘BIG’ and ‘F**k Me I’m Famous’, David Guetta has finally dropped the release of his eagerly anticipated new album, ‘7.’

A gigantic 27-track album, made up of two sides, ‘7’ showcases the French producer’s more commercial side – as he teams up with a range of acts such as Jess Glynne, Sia, Justin Bieber, Anne-Marie, Nicki Minaj, and Jason Derulo – as well as his darker routes via 12 tracks from his deep-house and techno-inspired alter-ego, Jack Back.

Packed with whopping hits like Martin Garrix & Brooks collaboration ‘Like I Do’ and Black Coffee team-up ‘Drive’, the album demonstrates Guetta’s production prowess, with the legendary DJ displaying his diversity in the studio thanks to both sides of the release. Recently revealing to iconic BBC Radio 1 broadcaster Pete Tong, that his Jack Back moniker had inspired him to rediscover the sounds he once spun on vinyl in Ibiza club ‘Space’ at the start of his career, David Guetta’s ‘7’ is out now and can be heard in full below.

With the votes for this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 poll set to be announced during ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) next month, Guetta will once again be quietly confident of securing a place towards the summit of the list, following a truly stellar year in 2018.
