Perhaps the most extravagant jewel in the Ibiza crown, arrives in the shape of David Guetta‘s weekly ‘BIG’ residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza. The French superstar, who also holds a weekly residency at Pacha, is a huge attraction on the Balearic Island, having garnered a legendary reputation across his two decades as a well-known DJ and producer.

On Monday 3rd September, Guetta was joined by Dutch producer Don Diablo at the Playa d’en Bossa venue, with the Hexagon mastermind warming up the crowd thanks to a sizzling set which included huge hits, such as his own special Avicii tribute, and Keanu Silva’s ‘Fine Day.’ Set across the tropical haven of the iconic beach club, Don performed a wondrous extended set, and after his departure, soon had the crowd cheering for the arrival of the headlining Frenchman.

Arriving to a cacophony of screams, the maestro himself, Monsieur Guetta, opened with his thunderous Martin Garrix collaboration ‘Like I Do’ and soon took things to a deeper, darker, level, asking for the venue’s pyro team to turn all the lights off, as he played 15 minutes of brooding techno, including tracks from Adratique, and his very own new deep-house alias, Jack Back. Taking the crowd on a musical journey, David dropped his classic hits, such as 2009’s ‘One Love‘ anthems ‘When Love Takes Over’ and ‘Sexy Chick’, as well as the brand new Tiësto banger, ‘WOW!’, Sebastian Ingrosso‘s timeless ‘Reload’ and the summer 2018 anthem, ‘Losing It’ by FISHER.

Ending with his new Anne-Marie collaboration ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’, the night sky, now illuminated by colourful glowsticks, was filled with fireworks, as once again, David Guetta showed Ibiza how to go BIG or go home. Enjoying a stellar year of success in 2018, the French icon continues to amaze fans, with his refreshing and eclectic sets, showcasing his dynamic diversity across all genres. With the DJ Mag 2018 results soon to be revealed, David will be confident of once again securing a Top #5 position!
