Last week, Eric Prydz performed at Hï Ibiza for one of his last shows of the 2018 season, bringing along Camelphat, Cristoph, Solardo and more to support.

Hï Ibiza opened at the start of the 2017 season and provides clubbers with a completely unique experience. Built in the location that used to house iconic club Space, Hï certainly had high expectations to live up to but met and exceeded these expectations. Complete with two huge performance spaces the club is the perfect fit for high-profile artists, offering sensational visuals and pyrotechnics.

Opening the event, British producer Cristoph hypnotised his audience with a string of mesmerising tracks, effortlessly mixed with some of his own hits. Having released multiple tracks on Pryda Presents in the past and supported Eric Prydz on many occasions, Cristoph makes the perfect fit for the residency. Next up, British duo Camelphat delighted attendees with a huge set, packed with their own hits including ‘Cola‘ and ‘Panic Room‘, both of which have achieved viral popularity. Throughout the performance, their energy never lapsed and they treated fans to an absolutely magnificent selection of tracks, each mixed to deliver maximum impact.

As the event hit its midway point, Eric Prydz took to the stage to perform a three-hour set. The aesthetics of Hï provided the perfect backdrop for the performance, as visuals hovered above the heads of the audience rising and falling at intervals. The whole performance twisted through a series of phenomenal techno productions, including Adam Beyer and Bart Skils‘ ‘Your Mind‘, which has become a regular feature in live sets over the summer. Dropping tracks from each of his alias’, Cirez D, Pryda, and of course his main identity Eric Prydz, he effortlessly navigated the diverse spectrum of techno. Naturally, the highlight of his performance occurred when he dropped his world-famous hit ‘Opus‘, which echoed around the walls of Hï with phenomenal force. The track was accompanied by the sound of the audience singing along to the melody, creating a mindblowing spectacle.

Eric Prydz’s Hï Ibiza residency remains one of the most esteemed residencies on the island, having built up huge acclaim through its consistent delivery of techno in its purest form. A popular event for underground and commercial fans alike, the residency provides the ultimate showcase of talent, inviting some of the electronic music industry’s most esteemed artists.
