Few names in the global electronic scene are more well known and respected than that of Hardwell. The Dutch DJ and producer has been on top of the world of dance music scene ever since his first break through collaboration with Tiësto collaboration ‘Zero 76′. Since then, he went on to form his own label and released huge anthems like ‘Apollo’ and ‘Spaceman’, which took him to the #1 DJ in the world, winning the DJ Mag polls in 2013 and 2014.

Following his recent shock announcement where he explained on an Instagram post he is retiring from touring, Hardwell is releasing some brand new music on Revealed Records in collaboration with Suyano and Richie Loop. Premiered at Ultra Music Festival in Miami by Hardwell himself, the track has been rocking mainstages and dancefloors all over the world the past few months.

The track features a unique reggae vibe, given by Richie Loop’s infectious vocal performance and the selection of sounds and rhythms which drive the track. ‘Light it up’ effortlessly switches from traditional reggae sounds to a full blasting banger, definitely showcasing the incredible talent which went into producing the track. During the main break down the sound is switched up to reveal a stripped back Jamaican-infused melodic section which soon kickstarts a big room build up into another high energy, fast-paced drop.

So far he has had an amazing year filled with spectacular and unique live performances as well as some great releases in a variety of styles. Although Hardwell stated that his days of performing in front of crowds are over. Despite that, we will see him live one more time during Amsterdam Dance Event, so be sure to attend if you have the chance to. He also stated that he will continue to produce music.
