LAY – Sheep (Alan Walker Relift)
Alan Walker has come a long way. The masked DJ and producer from Norway has established himself as one of the big names at festivals and events around the world. Today, the 21-year old is currently resting on the 17th place of the DJ Mag Top 100 list and reached far beyond the status of a one-hit wonder. The ‘Faded’ producer has now released a rather uncommon remix or, more specifically, a so-called relift. However, the remix is not for a fellow DJ or for an electronic dance music track, but instead for Chinese singer LAY. Alan Walker remixed his track ‘Sheep’.
The 26-year old Chinese from Changsha gained fame in 2005 when he won the TV-Show Star Academy. Surprisingly enough, LAY does not sing in his mother tongue, even though it is quite usual in music from Asia. However, his vocals are in English and therefore a good basis for an Alan Walker, given the fact that the Norwegian was born in Northampton in the United Kingdom. The relift takes the original track and puts it into a deep trap tune, that will bring subwoofer to their limit. The powerful and bass-heavy drop is perfect for intimate clubs and other indoor venues. The fact that the festival season is now over anyway, gives the ‘Sheep’ relift the perfect timing to be played in clubs around the world.
For Alan Walker, the end of the festival season does not mean that he can relax for the rest of the year. In fact, the opposite is the case. The Norwegian will tour through whole Europe in November and December, bringing his typical Trap vibe to cities like Berlin, London, and Paris. If you want to be part of Alan Walker’s tour this Winter, you should get your tickets now! In the meantime, check out his relift for ‘Sheep’ by LAY.
