Home Uncategorized Marshmello unveils new collaboration with Amr Diab

Over the past few years, Marshmello has been seen astronomical growth, taking his career to a wholly commercial level. The U.S producer has amassed millions of streams on collaborations with the likes of Anne-Marie, Khalid, and James Arthur; a far cry from the bass heavy sounds his ‘Mellogang’ faithful came to love during his 2015 Jack Ü remix. 2018 has been yet another stunning year for Marshmello, who has delivered countless memorable live shows around the world and released a wide range of hits in varying styles. Going from the more signature sounds which first made him popular in his ‘Joytime II EP’, to more emotional sounds in his most recent collaboration with Bastille, Happier‘.

Marshmello has proven time and time again he is a versatile producer and can make the most of any collaboration by highlighting every artists’ individual talent, often resulting in a chart topping hit. Recently, the American DJ and producer took to his twitter to send a cryptic message to his fans at first. His first tweet only contained the word “Habibi”, an arabic word which translates to “my love”, primarily used for friends, significant others, or family members.

We can learn from a later tweet that this was directed to a new collaboration coming with Middle Eastern artist, Amr Diab, which he described as one of his favourite songs and as more of a love story rather than a club “turn-up” tune.

Amr Diab is one of the biggest music stars in Egypt. He has been awarded the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist four times. He has also won Best Egyptian Artist, Best Male Arab Artist and World’s Best Arab Male Artist Voted Online at the World Music Awards 2014. Amr Diab is the only Middle Eastern artist to have received 7 World Music Awards.
