Earlier this week, one of Germany’s finest producers Zedd suddenly teased a few short clips on his social media channels. On Twitter, fans saw the 29-year old DJ/producer behind the piano, while listening to the pitched-up vocals of young Canadian superstar Shawn Mendes and his recent hit ‘Lost In Japan’. A day later, both Zedd and Mendes teased their fan base with the similar floral theme of a flowering Japanese cherry tree, hinting towards Zedd’s remix of that particular track.

Today, the remix already dropped and it’s absolutely spectacular. For Zedd, who is just fresh off a phenomenal collaboration with American singer Elley Duhé titled ‘Happy Now’, the remix of ‘Lost In Japan’ means his first official remix since his 2016 version of ‘Let Me Love You’ by DJ Snake. On ‘Lost in Japan’, the Russian-German producer once again unleashes his typical revving bass sound, with influences of progressive house, electro house and dubstep.

Zedd’s new spin on the second single from Mendes’s self-titled third studio album has been eagerly anticipated by both the artists’ fan bases since the first clips appeared on social media just last Sunday. Now that it’s here, have a listen to Zedd‘s super catchy and infectious version of Shawn Mendes’s ‘Lost In Japan’ down below via Spotify.
