Silk City & Dua Lipa’s ‘Electricity’ gets vertical music video

Apparently one music video isn’t enough for some people. Although there is often a lyric video and then an official music video, not often do two music videos get created for the same track. However, Silk City‘s collaboration with Dua Lipa titled ‘Electricity‘ has exactly that. There is already an official music video for the track which you can watch here, but the Diplo and Mark Ronson double act seemingly wanted another way to showcase their track, which had already gained 26 million views on the first version.

The video is shot vertically, obviously, and is essentially Dua Lipa dancing around for just shy of 4 minutes. But, to look slightly deeper into it, maybe the intention is to capture the energy of the track. Her part in the video replicated somewhat a Snapchat or Instagram story… potentially a way of capturing music videos in the future. The colourful video sees Lipa dressed in very little, with a leather bikini covering her upper half which centres throughout the video. This video is yet to truly take off, with a mere 400,000 views up to yet. However, you can be sure that that number will increase as weeks go by.
