Steve Aoki – Lie To Me (feat. Ina Wroldsen) (Nicky Romero Remix)

A true progressive legend, Nicky Romero is best known for his monstrous tracks such as ‘Toulouse’ and his Avicii collaboration ‘I Could Be The One’. Most recently he has returned to the studio to release yet another remix for Steve Aoki‘s ‘Lie To Me’ featuring Ina Wroldsen.

In a surprising exchange of remixes, Nicky Romero masterfully applies his trademark progressive sound, taking the track and making it ready to destroy club dancefloors and festival mainstages all around the world. The new vibe Nicky Romero gives the track on this remix works perfectly even if it is so different from Aoki’s original vision. The melody which drives the track compliments the vocal exceptionally well resulting in a song which sounds rich and full of emotion.

Aoki and Nicky Romero have time and time again shown nothing but respect for each other. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Romero called Aoki

“one of the most genuine people that I know in the entire music industry.”

He also took the time to explain the story behind their latest collaboration ‘Be Somebody’, featuring Kiiara. You can listen to it here.

“He came by in my studio in Holland, stayed a whole day; listening to music, playing music, working on songs, but also playing ping pong, telling each other stories from the beginning, experiences,” Romero reveals. “And he was just such an honest, nice guy. He’s definitely an inspiration to many of us.”
