The Chainsmokers let people discuss their most surprising festival acts on Reddit

When you decide to visit an event or a festival gig of certain acts, you most definitely know what you get and what type of music you can expect. Armin Van Buuren will most definitely play Trance, Hardwell will burn down some Big Room and Electro tracks and Tchami will treat fans with the best selection of Future House tracks. However, one specific act that surprised their crowd to the most was The Chainsmokers. Many of their biggest fans are used to more melodic and sing-along tracks such as ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ or ‘Closer’, but Drew Taggart and Alex Pall switch things up a little bit during their shows. One of their biggest events this year has been Ultra Music Festival and the Smokers completely went wild during their set. Because of the fact of doing and playing something else, you are expected to do lead The Chainsmokers to Reddit asking people about their most surprising festival acts this season.

No surprise, Salvatore Ganacci was named a few times. The ‘DJ’ that is not specifically known for good music but more for acting like a clown made big waves at this years Tomorrowland when he was allowed to play at the massive mainstage. Other, more music-focused acts named were Porter Robinson’s alias Virtual Self and the live duo from Seattle, ODESZA. Furthermore, the Reddit community voted on Sullivan King, G Jones, and Whipped Cream.

Currently, on the 6th place in the DJ Mag Top 100 list, The Chainsmokers continue to run the electronic music world. If you want to witness a DJ set that is quite surprising from what you would expect from them, you can see The Chainsmokers live on a few occasions this year. Either in one of their currently two residencies in Las Vegas in either XS Las Vegas or in Encore Beach Club.
