When we look at breakthrough artists of the last couple of years, The Chainsmokers are definitely going to feature towards the top of this list. The EDM group consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall has pretty much shaken the music industry over the course of the last couple of years. They went on a tour through cities worldwide with their super successful album ‘Memories… do not open’. Featuring some of The Chainsmokers most successful tracks, such as ‘Paris’ and ‘Something Just Like This’. Today, The Chainsmokers continue to be unstoppable, taking over the world with their unique blend of pop and electronic. Having just recently dropped their ‘Sick Boy…Side Effects‘ EP, the duo continue to go from strength to strength.
Over time the pair have proven time and time again to be extremely versatile in their production, varying between mainstage bangers like their latest collaboration with NGHTMRE ‘Save Yourself‘ and more electro-pop sounds like their single ‘Side Effects‘ featuring Emily Warren. Most recently the two have been hinting at an upcoming collaboration with country stary Kelsea Ballerini, generating a tremendous amount of hype from both fanbases for what would be an unprecedented collaboration between two completely different styles of music.
Kelsea Ballerini is an incredible artist who has achieved so much despite her young age. Named on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 – Music list at number two. In 2017, Ballerini received two Academy of Country Music Award nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year for ‘Peter Pan‘.
