Going all guns blazing for its third edition in Mondovi, Wake Up Festival is back for a thrilling September for all those attending. The festival that is held annually at the world-famous Italian Langhe, the slightly hilly region near the province of Cuneo in Piedmont. While this part of northeastern Italy is famous for its cheeses, wines and truffles, a new player was in town with Wake Up Festival kicking off its first show some two years ago. By their own records, last year saw the festival host over 10,000 people at the venue along with headlining performances from the likes of Martin Garrix, Justin Mylo and none other than Gigi D’Agostino over three weeks in September.

But this year the folks behind Wake Up Festival are looking set to offer something completely different as the setup is set to conquer September with performances set to be hosted on all four weekends of the month. Things will kick off on 8th September for the first show featuring none other than Tekashi 6ix9ine (or ’69’) and Sfera Ebbasta among others. While Ebbasta is a Italian sensation in the world of Trap music, 69 is someone who has taken the global Trap music scene by storm and has furthered the rise of the new age rappers with his entertaining persona.

Up next, on 15th September, veteran Italian DJ and producer Gigi D’Agostino will take his spot behind the decks to dish out his famous hits – tracks which have not only become hits world over but are household Italian tunes. Gigi has already played at the last two editions of the festival and is primed to charm the crowds yet again this year, along with Roberto Molinaro – another artist who played quite a part in the rise of House music in Italy. Following this week will be performance from former Eiffel 65 member and Dance music personality Gabry Ponte on the 22nd of September as the festival looks to showcase its well founded Italian roots.

Assured to end on a high note, the last leg of Wake Up Festival will take place on 29th of September. The final weekend will feature performances from the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Headhunterz, Merk & Kremont, MATTN and MR.BLACK among others. This set of performers is no less than those of past year’s which featured the likes of Martin Garrix, Lush & Simon and Yves V. All in all, things looks set for a month of top notch performances from some of the biggest names in Dance music as Wake Up Festival gets geared up for the third edition by the north Italian countryside.

Wake Up Festival is set to be held over the forthcoming weekends of September. Ticket and event information is available on the hyperlinks of date of performances. For more information, head over to their official website here or their Facebook page here. Enjoy the 2017 after-movie below!
