Up and coming Orlando based producer AJ Salvatore is back after making some serious noise with his ‘Fire Away‘ remix for Paris & Simo. As the original take of ‘Better‘ approaches 1 million streams on Spotify and over 14 million on all platforms, AJ wanted to give the tune a fresh flip with co-producer Steve Reece, and it’s safe to say the duo definitely put a unique spin on the originally pop-centric tune. The smooth flip utilizes gorgeous chord work, tantalizing vocal chops and uplifting engineering to further accentuate the tunes brilliance. AJ explains just why he wanted to recreate the already successful song saying,
“This song meant a lot to me, as it was my biggest release so far. Doing this remix with a good friend brought out a lot of emotion and I think it resulted in something just as addicting as the original”
As an artist flying under the mainstream radar, AJ has already experienced his fair share of success with a bright future ahead. The artist has already released his works, ‘Sojourn‘ and ‘Ignite‘ under Trackrecord AI and HERØ, both of which are sub-labels under two of the largest majors, Universal Music Group and Sony. While the size of both labels may not matter to many, it’s all in the success of the record and AJ has also had his dose of successfully streamed tunes.
In fact, it was AJ’s original take on ‘Better‘ where the artist snagged the attention of Sony for his release of ‘Ignite‘ under HERØ (which was no flop either as the tune currently sports over 5.5 million plays collectively). The tune flat-out performed, as AJ Salvatore went on to hit #19 in the US Viral 50, #21 in the Global Viral 50, and #49 in the Taiwan Viral 50 on Spotify. He’s not only a work-horse in the studio, but AJ’s had also success on the show bills as well, playing EDC Orlando and opening for some of your favorite acts including Carnage, Ghastly, Alvin Risk, Dirty South, Shaun Frank, and SNBRN.
