With a flurry of up and coming Electronic music artists plying their trade in the Los Angeles County, it is not unusual to find those among them who made the journey from their home states to perfect their art. One such case is that of 20-year old producer and DJ Loren Fleisher, better known by his Blaxlee moniker, who made the journey to Burbank in order to join the Icon Collective Music Production School. With the school boasting of stellar alumni such as Jauz, MAKJ and NGHTMRE, Fleisher is certainly looking to follow their footsteps as he delivers his first EP titled ‘Type II’. While the 4-track EP has been impressive in each of its parts, the last track of the EP titled ‘Fiat’ has been a standout listening experience from the budding producer’s first undertaking.

A serenading intro to begin with, the track builds itself on a progression of carefully crafted notes before the scintillating beat-work takes over to guide the listener across. Laced with Bass-heavy uniqueness, slight elements of Trap and Moombathon, ‘Fait’ is an impressive quarter from the ‘Type II‘ EP as it dabbles between charming breaks and astonishing application of production technique. A confluence of styles, the track allows the listener to gauge the intensity which Blaxlee has employed in his debut EP. Surely one of the tracks that rubber stamps Blaxlee’s credentials as an up and coming producer, ‘Fiat’ lays a solid blueprint for Blaxlee to take it a notch further and build on the ‘Blaxlee’ brand.
