It’s been a long time coming, but three years after the release of his sophomore album ‘Planet Neutral’, American producer Getter (real name Tanner Petulla) has finally dropped his third album titled ‘Visceral’. After already releasing a handful of singles including ‘All is Lost’, ‘Made For You’ and ‘Solo’, the 25-year old from California now shares his incredibly artistic and conceptual full 12-track album.‘Visceral’ is a personal deep dive into Getter‘s own life and tells a story of raw human emotions such as struggle, rejection, heartbreak and healing.
On the album, Getter collaborated with a bunch of other interesting artists, such as Audio Opera, Allan Kingdom, Nothing, Nowhere, Sweetsound, Midoca, Name UL, Njomza, Party Nails and Joji, a few of which are outside the realm of Getter’s typical studio collaborations. The album is being released on deadmau5‘s mau5trap Recordings label and the incredible single ‘All Is lost’ was also featured on the Canadian’s own EP ‘Mau5ville: Level 1’, which was released earlier this summer.
The album sees Getter explore many different sounds other than dubstep, as he crosses into genres like hip-hop, electro, future bass and even rock. It clearly shows off a new direction, sound and intention from Petulla, and the result is a very diverse album that has something to offer for everyone.‘Visceral’ is out now on mau5trap Recordings and you can listen to it down below via Spotify.
