Kygo has been the true pioneer of the tropical house sound, bringing it to the radio and festivals all around the world. The Norwegian DJ and producer has recently been in the news after recently giving a contribution of $30,000 to the ‘Tomorrow Needs You’ campaign – an effort run by famous non-profit aimed to help those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Not only did this sizable contribution come on World Suicide Prevention Day, but it also came smack in the middle of National Suidice Prevention Week. His latest track ‘Happy Now’ is out now and believed to be his tribute to the late Avicii.

Both Kygo and Sandro Cavazza are known to have been close friends of the late Avicii, with the former describing him as one of his biggest inspirations on many occasions and the latter crediting him for kickstarting his career on their collaboration ‘Without You’. ‘Happy Now’ was debuted earlier this year by Kygo himself at iHeartRadio Music Festival, where he invited Sando Cavazza onto the stage to perform this track together for the first time in front of a crowd.

‘Happy Now’ is driven by Sandro Cavazza’s incredible vocals which are accompanied perfectly by Kygo’s signature tropical style. Complimenting the singing with catchy chords and melodies which are bound to stick in your head from the first time you listen. The production value on this record is immense as we have come to expect from Kygo, the vocals are mixed in perfectly with all the other elements and all the instrumental parts are given their own space to shine. There is an interesting combination of digital, synths and organic sounds like pianos which give the track a unique and fresh sound.
