Lucille Croft & Swarm – Psycho

Australian DJ, music producer, entrepreneur and model Lucille Croft has teamed up with Florida-based producer Swarm to deliver a profoundly hard-hitting Bass House anthem; ‘Psycho’. Using music as a form of self-expression, she is the epitome of creative mentality, with a dark and electrifying musical auteur that you’ll find yourself addicted to, and in lust for more.

A downright, gritty downtempo bass anthem, the track’s signature imposing basslines make their presence known from the beginning, teasing listeners with a short 16-second clip before introducing the ominous breakdown. Dark vocals, fx and reverb-soaked chords all combine to set the tone for the drop. As the drop arrives, a booming kickdrum and powerful sub-bass create an engulfing atmosphere, guaranteeing listeners to grimace in sheer awe.

Breaking things up a tad, the second drop features a Trap influence to help boost the track’s progression. As the second drop arrives, the track introduces a much-welcomed element of surprise, as an even more so formidable bassline pattern emerges, combined with chilling choir vocals and reverb hits.

When asked about the track, Croft gave the following response:

“When we set out to make this song, we wanted to make an authentic collaboration; we wanted it to truly sound like both of our styles working together. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”

A master of his craft, Swarm’s signature haunting bass sounds drive a heavy influence over the track’s dark, menacing nature.  With previous bone-chilling such as ‘Another Brick In The Wall’ and ‘Breathe’, Swarm’s tantalising production skills are no secret. He’s also previously teamed up with Monstercat mainstay; Varien to deliver their chilling downtempo banger; ‘Never Ending’.
