Mattskay – Reborn

Mattskay is a talented up and coming DJ and producer based in Italy. Despite his young age, he has already gained significant experience in the industry, starting out behind the decks aged just 13,  at the age of 16 he played his first ever international show in Munich, Germany after winning “The Color Festival World Tour” alongside the likes of Mike Candys and Niels van Gogh. He has also played in Gallipoli alongside the world’s # 1 DJ Martin Garrix.

His previous releases have been varied and displayed how he is not only a talent behind the decks but also a true master in the studio. His latest release, ‘Reborn’ moves away from his more groovy sounds we heard in his previous release ‘Snapchat‘ to make room for a mainstage banger. After starting with a captivating vocal, the track is built around an infectious triplet rhythm bassline and percussion which will no doubt wreak havoc on several dancefloors all around the world. The main breakdown continues with the dark atmosphere before building up to a fresh new drop, which builds on the previous one by adding some dramatic horn stabs and even more bass and percussion.

‘Reborn’ is a truly innovative track, combining elements from the currently popular psytrance sounds with 90s hardstyle elements like the massive kick drum driving the track. This unique combination of sounds allows the track to sounds both fresh and different whilst still keeping in line with the current trends and tendencies. Mattskay can no doubt look forwards to more support on ‘Reborn’ after having been already supported by the likes of Ummet Ozcan in the past.
