Nicky Jam x Steve Aoki – Jaleo

Following in fellow dance music superstars footsteps such as Dillion Francis’ with his recent album ‘Wut Wut,‘  and DJ Snake’s latest global hit, ‘Taki Taki,‘ LA native Steve Aoki has also joined in the Latin fun with vocalist Nicky Jam. Between the two of them, the duo spot nearly 36 million monthly listeners across Spotify making for one monstrous collaboration. While it helps that plenty artists have been jumping on the Latin wave as of late, Steve Aoki has always been a culturally experimentative producer. The global festival headliner has had several Latin-inspired tunes under his belt, way before the Latin trend kicked off in full swing, and what a way to further expand on what he’s produced in the past.

Aoki only seems to become more and more refined when it comes to his production. The smooth, vibey instrumental complements Nicky Jam’s equally as fluid and aesthetically pleasing topline. The tune debuted spurred along by Sony Music Latin certainly paired the two heavyweights together at the perfect time to deliver a product is just as immense. The tracks replay value is through the roof and just rings out as one of those underplayed radio hits.

With several major expansions for Aoki’s many business ventures ahead of him including the expansion of his pizza company Pizzaoki and the further expansion of his Neon Future universe into the comics realm, another hit single could be just the publicity Aoki needs to further some of his expansions. Although he still has plenty more time in the world as a touring DJ and it’s proven by his documentary in which the title, “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” mirrors his demeanor – the aging producer certainly seems to be taking up just enough side ventures to keep his high profile brand engaging, entertaining, but most of all well-rounded.

Take a listen to Aoki and Nicky Jam’s catchy single, ‘Jaleo‘ below:
