8 years ago, Sonny John Moore, better known as Skrillex released his second EP titled ‘Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites’, after David Bowie‘s 1980 album ‘Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps). Skrillex’s EP was built with a variety of diverse tracks, ranging from the more melodic ‘With You, Friends (Long Drive)‘ to the harder lead single ‘Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites‘. Since its release, ‘Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites’ has sold over 2,000,000 copies, achieving double platinum status and catapulting Skrillex to the top of the electronic dance music scene where he has consolidated himself thanks to his outstanding talent in the studio and behind the decks.

Over the years Skrillex has developed his sound significantly and often ventured into new genres with different projects. whilst always bringing a fresh concept or idea to his works and maintaining his signature style. His joint project with DiploJack Ü. Together they released their debut album ‘Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü’ which was lead by the single ‘Where Are Ü Now’, in collaboration with Justin Bieber. In 2016 Jack Ü was awarded as ‘Best Dance Recording’ and ‘Best Electronic/Dance Album’. Allowing Skrillex to become the DJ and producer with the most Grammy Awards to his name, overtaking Daft Punk.

2018 has been an interesting year for Skrillex so far, the American superstar DJ and producer has been releasing and working on plenty of new, old and co-produced projects. His latest release comes in the form of a collaboration with UK bass house producer JOYRYDE. ‘AGEN WIDA’ has been teased for a while by both artists, creating high anticipation for the release which has finally dropped on Skrillex’s OWSLA.
